In our tradition, a wedding is an act of worship where two people make a covenant before God, one another, and the congregation to covenant together for life.

Some reminders if you are considering a wedding at Houma First UMC:

• Pre-Marriage Counseling is required.
• The pastor of Houma First UMC will preside or will invite another United Methodist pastor to do so.
• The ritual used is from The United Methodist Hymnal or Book of Worship.
